Shifts of Innovations: Uncovering Reinvention brings together NAFA talents across various disciplines, exploring the evolution of their artistic practices in the local and regional arts scene. Drawing from their archives of prototypes, sketches, and past works, the significant shifts in their journey serve as springboards where their works in progress act as an extension of the former.

The exhibition aims to uncover the constant reinventions that artists undergo, in the wider context of the development of the arts scene in Singapore and globally. As artistic practices such as installation and performance art emerged in Southeast Asia during the 1980s, the rise of Singapore as a young nation pushed artists to evolve in diverse ways.
