In conjunction with NAFA Open House 2020, this hybrid showcase incorporating Flagship Genius and Ayutthaya demonstrates the creative potential of interdisciplinary art making within the academy. This double-bill exhibition features a panorama of talent in art making from NAFA’s Fine Art, 3D Design, Design & Media and Fashion Studies Programmes, as well as the outcomes of students who participated in the academy-wide project using Ayutthaya as a creative stimulus and subject matter. The academy-wide Ayutthaya project is jointly managed and programmed by the Institute of Southeast Asian Arts and the academic schools at NAFA, where students were involved not only in lectures, workshops and a site visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, but were also encouraged to be inspired by the topic of Ayutthaya in their curriculum and modules.
