Acclaimed young Chinese composer Wang Yun Fei collaborates with the NAFA Chinese Chamber Ensemble to present an evening of new music with multimedia and crossover elements. Compositions for various ensemble combinations will receive their Singapore premiere under the direction of Lim Yau, Dean of NAFA’s School of Music. Shenyang Conservatory of Music liuqin performer Guo Wei and Singapore Chinese Orchestra pipa principal Yu Jia are joint soloists for a double concerto, while Senior Lecturer from the NAFA School of Art and Design, Chua Poh Leng, will be featured in a special calligraphy appearance.
