Centering the Margin is about finding the balance and reframing Southeast Asia narratives through collaborative efforts by young artists who are recent graduates from both Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) and LASALLE College of the Arts.
In late June 2018, the 10 recipients undertook a study trip to Yogyakarta, encouraging them to engage in critical analysis, reflection and research to investigate the issues of contemporary art pertinent to the region. Student-led activities, such as workshops and seminars conducted at both institutions, contributed to the making of this collaborative exhibition.
