For thousands of years, poetry, song, drama and the visual arts have been bedfellows. In both the arts of the East and the West, artistic expressions have often emerged from a deep well that inspires thinking, reflection, writing and articulation. This small showcase offers a handful of visual artworks that include the themes and forms of music and its accoutrement. In both direct and indirect ways, music continues to influence many artists who create visual outcomes, through literature, heritage and emotional transformations alike.
