Epoxy Resin: Clutch Bag Making & Jewellery Making

(3 sessions x 3 hours)

Embark on a creative adventure with epoxy resin and discover the rewarding process of crafting your own unique clutch bag and jewellery. This experiential course provides a comprehensive introduction to working with premixed and two-part resin systems, guiding you through selecting tools and incorporating beautiful embellishments. Learn the core techniques of resin mixing, precise pouring, and effective mold casting, culminating in the skillful assembly of personalized and functional accessories.

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this workshop, learners will be able to:
  1. Distinguish between different types of resin and understand their usage.
  2. Follow safety protocols and best practices for handling epoxy resin materials.
  3. Mix, pour, and cast epoxy resin using a two-part system.
  4. Incorporate molds, pigments, and embellishments into resin designs.
  5. Assemble a functional clutch bag from their cast resin pieces.
  6. Create and assemble resin jewellery from scratch.
  7. Maintain and care for resin accessories to preserve durability and shine.

A digital certificate will be issued upon successful course completion, which requires a minimum attendance rate of 75%.

Please note that no replacement classes are offered for missed lessons.

Our Trainers

 
Danielle Poon

Danielle Poon is a Singaporean multidisciplinary artist-educator with a deep interest in andragogy. With extensive experience teaching art to adults and seniors aged 32 to 98. She specializes in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment and has shared her knowledge through workshops in private organisations, as well as community-based sessions.

Danielle holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) degree from LASALLE College of the Arts. Her artistic achievements include being the recipient of the 2022 Talent Prize Award, the 2020 Ngee Ann Young Promising Award, and being a finalist in the Angelico Art Exhibition in 2016 and 2018. Danielle actively participates in local and international group exhibitions, and her work has been honoured with the acquisition of four pieces by the Ngee Ann Cultural Centre’s Permanent Art Collection.
