Xin Xiaochang is an artist whose work is informed by her cross-disciplinary background in art and design.
Xin worked as a 3D Designer at ModernAge Design & Communications, an events and advertising firm in Singapore after she graduated from Temasek Polytechnic. Her responsibilities included providing creative direction for product launches, stage designs and visual merchandising on projects for clients such as Paragon, BMW and Volkswagen.
In 2007, Xin worked in a Belgium-based studio job at Antwerp, which is an internationally acclaimed design outfit, where she was involved in exhibition works for Milan Design Week 2008. She had also done design collaborations with Royal Tichelaar Makkum, one of the oldest ceramics company in The Netherlands; as well as Moooi, a contemporary furniture house headed by esteemed designer Marcel Wanders.
In 2009, Xin held her first solo of ceramic objects at Sculpture Square. Xin has exhibited in two solos and various group shows in London, Belgium and Singapore. Her work mixes ceramics and other materials in sculptures and installations. Xin’s works are held in private and corporate collections globally.
