Melvin Ong is one of Singapore’s most talented designers. He has international industrial experience spanning many years, working in London at the design agency, Brand42, where he was involved with projects from CNN, Johnnie Walker and Mailonline.

In 2012, he established his studio, Desinere in Singapore. Since then, he has been actively involved with exhibitions abroad at Tokyo, London, Milan and more recently Bangkok. In 2013, Desinere collaborated with Democratic Society to launch the first Singapore icons collection which won the Design of the Year under the President’s Design Award. In the following year, Melvin was nominated by Surface Asia magazine as one of the rising talents in Asia and was awarded the title of Rising Asian Talent by Maison & Objet Asia 2014.

Melvin’s creative work also enjoys an international reach - highlights are exhibitions at the Designtide Tokyo in 2012 and the Tortona Design week in Milan in 2013.
