François, who hails from France, arrived in Singapore in 1990. He studied Philosophy, Theology and Sociology, and was asked to teach French in Singapore as part of his French national service. He eventually grew to love teaching French and went on to get his Master Degree (with honours) in teaching French as a foreign language.

François' career started at the Alliance Francaise of Singapore. Today, he teaches French in Singapore Management University (SMU), National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He also teaches a French singing class every Saturday at the Alliance Francaise.

François works as an interpreter and does some translation works on the side. He loves cultural exchange programmes and is interested in tradition as well as modern technology. He is involved in inter-faith dialogue organisations, and conducts philosophy sessions for children.
