Arthur Sim is an active contributor to the architecture, design and the visual arts scene in Singapore. His professional experience as an architect positions him as a notable voice in the milieu of architecture and design.
As an editor of Singapore Architect, a magazine of the Singapore Institute of Architects, Arthur was in charge of its direction and editorial content. As a journalist at Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), he has written about architecture, design and the visual arts for the design pages in The Straits Times, Life! as well as The Business Times. As a writer for Home & Décor magazine, he has also written about architecture and interior design features, and contributed to the art direction for photo and product features.
Arthur has also curated two art exhibitions based on the intersections between art, architecture and urbanism. Titled ‘Lost City/Intersections of Art and Architecture in the City’, the exhibition featured new works by several award-winning Singapore artists such as Hong Sek Chern, Francis Ng, Tang Ling Nah, Ahmad Abu Bakar, and C K Kum.
