Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the Dean and Vice Dean in managing academic and administrative matters relating to the Landscape and Architecture Programme
  • Lead, manage and support lecturing staff to ensure smooth running of courses within the programme
  • Conduct regular briefings and dialogue with lecturing staff, including induction of new full-time / adjunct lecturers, and setting the ethos for teaching
  • Coordinate and collate documents such as module specifications/guide, module review and assessment records for approval by Vice Dean
  • Recommend relevant resources or purchase of materials for teaching purposes
  • Establish and maintain links with the industry and institutions to foster a total approach of academic pursuit alongside with industry practice
  • Monitor and support students’ progress, performance, and attendance by ensuring timely submissions of attendance and mid-semester reports by lecturing staff
  • Mentor and provide pastoral care and support, including career guidance to students
  • Undertake 14-18 contact/teaching hours per week during term time
  • Perform administrative duties related to teaching and School or institutional strategic initiatives


  • Minimum Degree qualification in Landscape and Architecture
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching and relevant working experience
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and results-oriented with the ability to engage students in their learning
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • A team player with good interpersonal skills
