Head, EdTech Unit (2-year contract)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction in the effective implementation of educational technologies for NAFA academic division
  • Oversee the development of digital media content and instructional materials to support technology-enhanced learning in the curriculum
  • Advise and support faculty members, support staff and students on effective uses of the Learning Management System (LMS) and other teaching and learning platforms
  • Develop, design and engage faculty members in workshops and professional development dialogues on educational technologies for capability development
  • Work with faculty members, IT department and other cross-functional teams to develop systems and processes to support blended and hybrid teaching
  • Review existing platforms and explore new technologies to enhance existing systems
  • Lead and manage the learning technologists in the EdTech Unit as well as manage the Unit’s budget

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Technology, Computer Science, IT, or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years relevant work experience
  • In-depth knowledge of technology-enhanced learning at the tertiary level with experience in using technology interactively in curriculum development, pedagogy, and assessments
  • Prior team management and leadership experience with proven results
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with faculty members from different disciplines
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English
