Set the Tempo of Your Musical Practice

It is never too late to develop your musical potential and begin an education in the arts!

Build your courage to create with the NAFA Music Preparatory Programme, a programme for you to develop your instrumental foundation and music theory knowledge before embarking on music diploma programmes.

Over 12 weeks, from January to April, you will learn to establish a foundation of aural and musicianship skills, as well as the basic techniques in your choice of principal study. You will also be taught to communicate your understanding of musical works through performance or during a composition portfolio interview, and to demonstrate your technical foundation when presenting musical works.

Excel in Principal Study

Receive individual guidance through weekly individual sessions with professional musicians. This will enable you to develop strong and solid technique and learn to prepare for repertoires.

Gain an In-depth Understanding of Music

Learn about the basic musical form through the lives and works of leading composers, and understand the history and development of Western music.

Enhance Your Music Theory & Aural Training

Pick up the basics of music theory and ear training. You will recognise the rudimentary information in a musical score and apply it to your musical practice.
