Please join the NAFA Percussion Ensemble this evening as they celebrate music written for marimba. The programme will feature the music of John Cage, Bob Becker, Rudiger Pawassar, Steve Reich and more. Come listen to these young percussionists tackle classics such as Reich’s seminal work, Six Marimbas to Ivan Trevino’s classical-meets-rock Catching Shadows, commissioned by professor of percussion at Eastman School of Music Michael Burritt and inspired by a roadtrip playlist.
