NAFA x CHANGI AIRPORT

                                                                            NAFA’s Year 2 Diploma in Fine Art students
                                                                            were given the opportunity to design art
                                                                            piece prototypes for Changi Airport’s themed
                                                                            gardens at Terminal 2. Between January and
                                                                            May 2019, they worked with the airport’s
                                                                            horticulture team to refine their proposals
                                                                            and prototypes. This significant collaboration
                                                                            exposed students to the concept of working
                                                                            with a live client and being involved in the
                                                                            extensive process of design.

                                                              NAFA was honoured to have Jayson Goh, Managing Director
                                                              of Airport Operations Management, and Khaja Nazimuddeen,
                                                              Associate General Manager of Horticulture, attend the final
                                                              student presentation. They helped select the winners, together
                                                              with Khor Kok Wah, NAFA’s Vice President of Industry and
                                                              Projects, and Sabrina Long, Dean of NAFA’s School of Art
                                                              and Design. The winning designs were ‘The Unity’ and ‘Solaris’
                                                              art installations for Changi Airport’s Enchanted Garden and
                                                              Sunflower Garden respectively.
