Other Highlights
OPEN HOUSE 2019
During NAFA’s Open House held between
18 and 20 January, its campuses were abuzz
with lively showcases, performances, talks, art
demonstrations and career consultations. It
was a great opportunity for visitors to catch a
glimpse into student life at NAFA. Prospective
students also spent time with NAFA lecturers
who elaborated on course details, and current
students who shared on-campus experience
and the development process of their artistic
creations.

AWARDS AT 2018 TRIPARTITE
ALLIANCE AWARD AND NTUC’S
MAY DAY AWARDS
NAFA President Chia Mia Chiang was awarded the
Special Mention Award (Individual) — Transformational
Leader in Action at the Tripartite Alliance Award
2018 Presentation Ceremony on 14 November.
This award recognises his transformational leadership
and commitment towards fair, responsible and
progressive employment practices.
On 5 May, Chia was awarded the Medal of Commendation
at NTUC’s May Day Awards. This recognises his
contributions towards good labour-management
relations, workers’ welfare and NTUC’s initiatives.
Since joining NAFA in April 2014, Chia has transformed
