anemones; the sea life that thrives under the weight of the
ocean current. They carry a beauty that is underrated as
people tend to focus on the beauty that they see within their
eye range and forget to appreciate the life below the surface,
a rhythm flow of living energy that dances with the flow of
waves that give it life.
This collection explores a wide variety of vibrant prints but
simple details. I wanted to reimpose “dance with the waves
that gives life”. To bring in this element, I created my own
digital distorted floral prints resembling the rhythm and
the movement of the waves. I have also experimented few
fabric manipulation techniques such as felting, direct mark
marking, applique out of which I was really astonished by
the effect of felting which gave a very rough and stiff texture
but still was very bold in the way that it stood out on the
collection. My silhouettes are oversized, and I have used a
significant element of flare in my designs to show movement
of water.
