Max Tan Shu Lin
                                                                        Part-Time Lecturer, Fashion Studies


                                                               Max Tan is one of Singapore’s most renowned fashion designers.
                                                   Max’s label, MAX.TAN was the first Asian brand to be featured at the prestigious
                                              Modefabriek show in Amsterdam, Netherlands. In 2017, Max’s design for the production
                                               Manifesto by Drama Box and The Necessary Stage, won the Best Costume Design at

          Mark Suter
          Part-time Lecturer, Music (Head of Percussion)


          Mark was an Associate Producer and Performer for Sing Me Home, a music album
          by Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble, which won the Best World Music Album
          at the 2017 Grammy Awards. He appears internationally as a chamber musician
          and collaborative artist, who has worked with an eclectic array of musicians and
          ensembles. Mark has been Singapore Symphony Orchestra’s Associate Principal
          Percussionist since 2007.

                                                                                            Ho Seok Kee
                                                                                  Diploma in Fine Art, 2016


                                              One of two valedictorians at NAFA Convocation 2016, Seok Kee joined NAFA in 2012,
                                             at the age of 49, to pursue two part-time certificate courses. This re-ignited her interest in
                                            Chinese ink, which led her to embark on a learning journey for a Diploma in Fine Art at the
                                           age of 50. Affably known as Kee, she was involved in various group exhibitions in 2016 and
                                           2017 including Nine Feet (an Artist-in-Residence programme) at the NAFA ON AIR Gallery;
                                           Savour The Arts at The Connoisseur Concerto Bugis Junction; NAFA Alumni Show 2016 at
                                         Merlin Gallery; and Ink and Mind: Works by NAFA Alumni and Hui Chun Calligraphy at NAFA’s
                                    Lim Hak Tai Gallery. In August 2016, Kee was invited to conduct a two-hour workshop, Appreciating
                             Chinese Ink Painting, to Chinese language teachers at the National Institute of Education, on a pro bono basis.






          Muhammad Nhawfal Bin Juma’at
          Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Fine Art, 2016


          Influenced by aspects of his environment, Nhawfal’s art-making has always been
          driven by the spirit of bricolage. Nhawfal’s graduating project was showcased at
          NAFA’s Best of Best Show 2016, which presented top works by the graduating
          diploma and degree cohorts from the School of Art & Design. In 2016 and 2017, he
          participated in group exhibitions, including the finalist group exhibition as part of the
          seventh France + Singapore Photographic Arts Award at the Société Générale Gallery;
          APAD’S 45th Art Exhibition – Contemporary 2016 at Visual Arts Centre;
          Noise Art Mentorship Showcase: Proposals for Waterloo at Waterloo Centre;
          and Undescribed #2 at DECK.
