NAFA Fundraising
Golf Tournament
The inaugural NAFA Fundraising Golf Tournament was
held on 18 July 2014 at the Tanah Merah Country Club.
Emeritus Senior Minister, Mr Goh Chok Tong graced the
event as the Guest-of-Honour and 104 golfers joined him
on the Garden Course of the Club.
The fundraising event received encouraging support from
corporations, organisations and individuals, with S$461,320
raised from the sale of flights, match-make cards and kind
donations. Together with the dollar-for-dollar Cultural Matching
Fund from the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, a total
of S$872,640 was raised towards the NAFA Development Fund.
Following the golf tournament, 150 guests were treated to an
appreciation dinner at the Club, where they were entertained by
our very own talents from the School of Music.
SYT Celebrates
15th Anniversary
School of Young Talents (SYT) celebrated its 15th anniversary with
an exciting programme of art exhibition, dance, drama, and music
performances showcasing its diverse young talents. Some 140
students from the Junior Music Department presented a variety
of performances on both Western and Chinese instruments.
The crème de la crème, including winners of national and
international music competitions, were showcased in the
gala concert on 17 August 2014.
Opening of
Cornerspace Gallery
The Cornerspace Gallery was opened in July 2014
with Memories of Us, a photography exhibition curated
by arts management students, featuring wedding
portraiture across time, space and culture. Located at
NAFA Campus 2, the gallery offers a curatorial space
for arts management students to practice their exhibition
design and project management skills.
