Student Bio Project Description
Hello! I am Jensen Por from Bachelor of Art (Hons) Spatial Dementia is a common chronic disease among the elderly
Design. I have a strong interest in landscape design, and I and it is characterised by memory loss and affects a person’s

The Grandstand comprises two buildings, the North Wing,
and South Wing. Both serves to provide better social and
rehabilitation opportunities for the resident staying here.
The North Wing of the grandstand is an independent living
space where opportunities and the appropriate amount of
care are given. With this cooperative space, staff will be able
to access their patients in a more conducive environment. It is
designed to allow the residents the ability to explore around
and with minimum navigation issues.
At the heart of the North Wing, there is an atrium that hides a
garden, it is known as the Beacon. The Beacon is designed
to draw attention with its conspicuous structure and the light
penetrating through the building. Studies have shown that
both indoor and outdoor spaces are equally important for
the elderly. To live a healthy lifestyle, everyone is required to
be exposed to an adequate amount of sunlight and fresh air.
While on the other hand, indoor spaces also give the elderly a
safe environment for rehabilitation.
