                 Student Bio                                                                                   Project Description





                 Julia Tong is a well-rounded Landscape Designer whose                                         Tired of having activity restricted spaces, landscapes

                                                                                                               to the community centre, the “Community Square” is the

                                                                                                               area for hosting public events and lastly, the “Green Edge”

                                                                                                               carries what each zone have to be catered for the elderly,

                                                                                                               specifically those in the nursing home. The zones encourage

                                                                                                               communities to come together into a shared space while also

                                                                                                               letting individuals design the space as they seem fit.




                                                                                                               This proposed design no longer presents the viaduct as a

                                                                                                               narrow-isolated shelter but rather a site to further connect


                                                                                                               neighbouring parks and residents of Ang Mo Kio. This project
                                                                                                               acts as a new form of ‘test bed’ which could be played out as


                                                                                                               a possibility for other viaducts in Singapore.
