Yong Wee Loon, a part-time student
of Certificate in Western Abstract Diploma in Music
Painting, won the Silver Award in
the Emerging Artist Category at the
prestigious UOB Painting of the All four students are members of the NAFA Saxophone Quartet, coached by

and Shanghai Conservatory of Music. In addition to overseas performances, they
were also involved in performances as part of the National Environmental Agency
and Singapore Flyer’s community outreach programmes.
The NAFA Saxophone Quartet also participated in many performances on the
NAFA campuses, including during His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales’ visit
to NAFA; NAFA Open House 2018; and the Launch of NAFA’s 80 Anniversary

Celebrations & Campus 1 Tower Block Opening Ceremony.
Most notably in March 2018, the Quartet’s concert proposal was accepted by
the organiser of the World Saxophone Congress, and in July 2018, these talented
artists will be performing a recital of an all-Singaporean programme in Zagreb,
Croatia at the Congress.
