Dr Lim Poh Teck

                                                               In January 2018, Dr Lim Poh Teck presented Acculturate III –
                                                               Reflection at the Visual Arts Centre, a solo exhibition on his
                                                               exploration of the different cultures and how they assimilate
                                                               into one another. Reflection served as a rumination of self,
                                                               metaphorically serving as a micro perspective of a societal
                                                               reflect. As a unit of the system, Dr Lim relooked at himself
                                                               and questioned the intent of his own works.
                                                               In Acculturate I, Dr Lim explored the art processes and
                                                               cultural approaches to painting. The element of culture was
                                                               extended into the second series, Acculturate II, which used
                                                               the visual elements to consider the biomorphic metaphors of
                                                               the society. Acculturate III attempted to reflect upon
                                                               practice and question the original intentions of producing
                                                               these works.

                                                                         In 2017, Dr Goh Toh Chai was invited by
                                                                         Bandung Choral Society to conduct a folk song
                                                                        arrangement workshop for choral directors and

                                              Showcasing her latest collection of intaglio
                                              works, Touch celebrates the seamless
                                              integration of philosophy and technique in
                                              the works of the two artists, who have been continuously developing their skills
                                              in their respective mediums over the years. She also contributed to 80by80, a
                                              group exhibition and public online auction, organised by the Esplanade for its
                                              15  Anniversary celebrations. Finally, she was involved in Artsembly’s inaugural art

                                              exhibition, featuring established and emerging local ceramicists and printmakers.
