Awards 2017 with their design, Taboat. A solution for people in
flood-prone countries, Taboat doubles as a floatation device in
emergencies. While flash floods occur only once or twice yearly,
neighbourhoods can stay flooded for a long time, greatly disrupting
the routines of the inhabitants. By reducing direct contact with dirty
floodwater, residents are not only able to enjoy improved hygiene
and health, but also continue with their daily lives more easily.
