CROSSINGS 2015

CROSSINGS 2015 highlighted the Dance programme’s commitment
to produce dance artists for the world stage. The 2015 showcase
revealed the versatility of NAFA’s student dancers across genres
as they presented both Western and Asian-inspired dance works.
Two works were shown, choreographed by Rosalind Newman and
Mercedes Pablos, faculty members from Purchase College, The State
University of New York, with the students during their concurrent
residencies in January 2015. Newman’s Still Life was created
specifically for selected NAFA Dance students while Pablos’ Inside
Out was musically-inspired to produce an abstract neo-classical ballet.
The annual dance display also included a new work by independent
choreographer Nirmala Seshadri, the National Arts Council’s 1995
Young Artist Award recipient, as well as two student works from the
Composition Final Works module. CROSSINGS 2015 continued
to affirm the rich traditions and adventurous spirit that define
and drive dance at NAFA.

and graduates across the world. Fedri’s work was featured on the GFW website and
