As part of its year-long commemorative
festivities, NAFA held its 80 Anniversary

Celebration Gala Dinner at Marina Bay Sands
on 6 April 2018. The dazzling event was
graced by President Halimah Yacob and her
husband, Mohamed Abdullah Alhabshee.
Low Sin Leng, Chairman of the NAFA Board,
took the opportunity to share three exciting
initiatives that enhance NAFA students’
talent development and career pathways.

STUDENTS OF THE CENTRE FOR
LIFELONG EDUCATION
This inaugural student exhibition by the Centre for
Lifelong Education, held from 26 to 29 April 2018,
was officially opened by Dr Ho Kah Leong, former
NAFA principal and an alumni artist. Over the four-day
showcase, more than 900 visitors enjoyed around 70
artworks, by both current and ex-Fine Art part-time
students. It featured Western painting, abstract painting,
drawing, watercolour, Chinese ink painting, Chinese
calligraphy, printmaking and sculpture.
