Registration and Reporting Time on the Day of the Ceremonies

Part 1: University of the Arts Singapore, LASALLE and NAFA Commencement
Singapore EXPO, Level 1, Hall 1
11.00am – 12.00pm

Part 2: University of the Arts Singapore, NAFA Convocation
Singapore EXPO, Level 2, Garnet Room
2.30pm – 4.00pm

Please note that graduands who fail to register by the stipulated reporting time will not be permitted to go on stage for the conferment of their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. It is advisable that you report early, in case of long queues at the registration counter.

You are to show your Graduate Admission Card and NAFA Student Card/NRIC/Passport to the registration staff as proof of your identity. Please note that the Graduate Admission Card will be issued to you when you collect your academic gown from Serangoon Broadway.

You have to surrender your NAFA Student Card, if any, to the registration staff after your attendance is taken.

Upon successful registration, you will be ushered to the designated gowning area to put on your academic gown and prepare you to be ushered according to your pre-assigned seating arrangement.

Please note that you must carry your Graduate Admission Card with you at all times and you are to hand the card to our staff just before you go on stage to receive your Degree.

Putting on your Academic Gown

Please report early for the ceremonies to allow sufficient time to put on your academic gown and hood. Staff from Serangoon Broadway will be present to assist you at the stipulated gowning area.

Graduands are strongly advised not to bring any valuables to the ceremonies. NAFA will not be liable for any lost belongings. Kindly arrange for your family members or friends to take care of your personal items during the ceremony.

Getting Ready for the Ceremony

Part 1: University of the Arts Singapore, LASALLE and NAFA Commencement
Singapore EXPO, Level 1, Hall 1
11.00am – 12.00pm

You are advised to put on your academic gown immediately after registration. Once registration closes, you will be escorted to the designated seating area in Singapore EXPO, Hall 1 (Level 1).

At the end of the commencement ceremony, graduands and guests will be invited to a lunch reception and opportunities for photo-taking at Level 2. Graduands are strongly encouraged to remain in full academic dress and to stay within the designated area during this reception break.

Part 2: University of the Arts Singapore, NAFA Convocation
Singapore EXPO, Level 2, Garnet Room
2.30pm – 4.00pm

Graduands will be required to register at the foyer area of the Garnet Room for the University of the Arts Singapore, NAFA Convocation. After the registration closes, you will be grouped according to your seat number sequence and ushered to the Garnet Room for seating in an orderly manner.

Convocation Procedure

Our ushers will guide you to the side of the stage to queue and prepare for the presentation of your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. When your name is announced, please proceed to the centre of the stage to receive your certificate folder from the University Representative.

You will shake hands with the University Representative and accept the certificate folder with both hands. A photograph will be taken at this moment.

Upon exiting the stage, you will receive a ticket number for your stage photo and our ushers will direct you to collect your graduation souvenir before returning to your seat in the Garnet Room.
