3rd Steinway Youth Piano Competition

          of the prestigious Steinway Youth Piano Competition. The grand prize winner,
          Wang Huang Hao Jia, went on to represent Singapore at the 3rd Steinway Regional
          Finals Asia Pacific in Kuala Lumpur in July, where he clinched the third prize.






          Young Talents Project 2016


          The Grand Finals of Symphony 92.4FM’s Young Talents
          Project 2016 aims to find the nation’s next classical
          music prodigy. It allows young talented musicians,
          from ages 7 to 17, to showcase their abilities on a
          national level. In 2016, NAFA violin students Chloe
          Chua and Loi Si Xian won the Grand Prize in the
          Junior category and the Viewers’ Choice Award
          respectively.

















                                                                              National Chinese Music
                                                                                      Competition 2016


                                                                        The National Chinese Music Competition, organised
                                                                  by the National Arts Council, serves as a platform for musical
                                                                   excellence. It aims to develop the performing skills of young
                                                                  musicians in Singapore, raise musical standards and identify
                                                                    new talent. Junior Music students won a total of 11 prizes
                                                                      at this competition in 2016. Chen Xin Yu, who was the
                                                                          youngest contestant in the category, clinched the
                                                                                    1st prize in the Pipa Open category.
