Chairman’s
Message
World-class academic institutions are often defined by
certain core characteristics: an excellent curriculum,
an esteemed faculty and a passion for making a
difference in the lives of students who enrol in the
institution. These words aptly describe the driving vision
of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), which
celebrates its 80 anniversary this year.

A series of specially curated celebratory events
commenced with the official launch of our newly minted
Campus 1 Tower Block. The event was graced by
Minister for Education, Mr Ong Ye Kung on 2 February

2018. We will celebrate our 80 birthday with a special
Gala dinner featuring an immersive theatre experience,
graced by Madam Halimah Yacob, President of the
Republic of Singapore. An eight-week long arts
festival and an opera production await art lovers;
a homecoming for our alumni and other events put
together by staff, students and alumni will culminate in
