The A/W 21/22 collection ‘Mother’s Bento’ is based on the bento culture in Japan. It was originally inspired by the meals my mother prepared for me during my stressful periods in school.
This collection's contrasting and lively color palette are inspired by the key elements derived from the common ingredients used to prepare a heartwarming boxed meal, such as the tamagoyaki and onigiri.
Mother's Bento mainly focuses on the prints and functionality factor. The irregular interior of a bento box are translated into bags of different sizes on a garment. It can be detachable as well, depending on the wearer's preference.
