Breathe

Breathe is a video documentation of my reflection where I am able to alter time with the exaggerated use of slow motion to show the possibility of slowing down the fast paced life – the conflicted need to let it be erased through time, but yet wanting to revisit and indulge the memory. Time is possibly the only variable to shift feelings.

Embodiment of Memori...

In this series, I portray the ephemerality of memories in the form of bubbles, to capture our immersion in time and place; relating it to my personal narrative and childhood. Observing how every new bubble blown causes the preceding ones to deflate and wrinkle up, reminds me of the aging of memories. The constant act of blowing makes each encounter unique and non-recurring.

Yin Yang

Yin Yang is an installation, inspired by Trypophobia, the fear of small clustered holes that triggers discomfort towards some individuals. Most people react and express their disgust to the Trypophobic effects perceived in my work. However, minority find that it is pleasant looking or even satisfying. In my work, Yin represents the dark shades whereas, Yang represents the white areas, in contrast to the good and bad reactions from my audiences respectively.

Living Fibres

Living Fibres is an installation, where I transform mass produced commercial products and materials around us into organic forms that resonate with their material origin. In my work, I want to show that there is no difference between man-made and nature; in the life cycle of objects, everything eventually returns to the Earth.
