The intent of this work is to make the idea of the abject an intimate experience for the viewer. This work consists of microscopic images and videos that ‘trace’ the skin in an ambiguous manner. These images/videos are collected from several volunteers, who have had a curiosity to see their skin up-close. The close-up skin images present an element of both fascination and horror, and question feelings of disgust and un-comfort one faces while experiencing this work.
