This work was done just by drawing lines. Every flower was in a different angle too.
Entwine is a work to raise awareness about depression and suicide. This work is a work in progress for my final year project.
Onion Chef is a work in collaboration with the Singapore Tourism Board. Onions are the most important ingredient when creating a dish. I did this work to raise awareness that a chef is as important as a onion.
I like working with the impasto technique when working with oil paints. Doing impasto on flowers was very interesting.
Equality is a work inspired by feminism. The work plays with juxtaposition. There are even real flowers from placed on the painting.

Medium: Mixed Media (Paper, Thread, Acrylic Paint) This image is a top view of Entwine. Entwine consists of 55 strips, each 1.6m tall. These set of documents sewed together reveals the artist’s experiences and emotions of having suicidal thoughts.
Medium: Mixed Media (Paper, Thread, Acrylic Paint) I did research on color therapy to find out what kind of emotions each color evokes. Yellow and green are calm and happy colors. These sets of colors have been splattered on with a syringe.
Medium: Mixed Media (Paper, Thread, Acrylic Paint) On the other hand, red and dark blue are depressing colors. Entwine being suspended from the ceiling and its crowdedness suggests how a depressed person can be so fragile inside.
