BIOGRAPHY
(Artist Statement)
Ruth makes use of symbolism, expressive strokes, and plays with texture to create uncanny beings made of merged objects and forms. Primarily working with 2D mediums such as ink, paint and print, she chooses to focus on the self and human nature, guiding viewers of her art to think about what it means to be human. She hopes to experiment more with different materials to expand the potential of her work. Her final year project seeks to highlight one’s desire to escape from reality due to existential anxiety.
