Biography
" Nathalie Tan is a Diploma in Fine Art student at NAFA who experiments with 2D and installations using various mediums. As an artist who delves into the themes of trauma and memory, she has earned the Most Improved GPA Award from NAFA in 2023 and was a Lecturer’s Assistant at the Victoria School Ceramics Workshop in 2022. As a fashion enthusiast, she has interned at Bottega Veneta, working as an Events Assistant and Assistant Stylist."

Events & Activities
2015, participated in the Savants Art Exhibition through The Little Artist2022, Lecturer assistant for a workshop2024: Appunemento is a private and intimate gathering for clients to exclusively see the upcoming and new collection from Bottega Veneta. I assisted in arranging the set up for the space, and I also assisted in the styling of the models using Bottega Veneta’s newest collection.
Artist Statement
I'm a Fine Art student specializing in 2D and installation, working with various mediums including paint, charcoal, print linocut using biodegradable materials. Recently, my practice is focused on themes of loss—grief of losing loved ones and the loss of self through trauma. I invite audiences to confront raw emotions and shared experiences, encouraging them to mourn and move forward, sparking reflection and healing. Through my experience with anorexia, I reflect on childhood memories, realizing how my once favourite treat of gummy bears became a symbol of fear and self-destruction—what once brought joy turned into a source of guilt.
