Biography

Nathan Tan (b. 1995) is a Singaporean artist and printmaker. Currently, he is pursuing a Diploma in Fine Art at NAFA. Nathan’s practice revolves around everyday recordings of human trails such as found objects, isolated sounds, unique visuals, and compositions in Singapore. In translation to convey concepts and narratives, Nathan’s technical skills in printmaking is used as access point for open interpretation on his artworks.

He has participated in group exhibitions which includes “SOAD x Collabs Showcase” 2022 in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and “Imagining New Futures” 2021 at Gillman Barracks. In 2021, he was attached to STPI workshop and gallery as their outreach gallery intern. He was also part of Open Print Exchange 2022, NAFA Open House 2022, STPI Open House 2021, NAFA Open House 2020.

Currently he is the Student Representative for Fine Art Programme (AY20/21 & AY21/22). In June, Nathan will hold his first solo exhibition at Hearth by Art Outreach at Gillman Barracks.
