Prior to joining NAFA, Hazirah has always aspired to be a documentary filmmaker and enjoys creating content for various social media platforms. She is constantly challenging herself to try new things, allowing her to step out of her comfort zone. She has produced over 5 films throughout her 3 years of pursuing her Diploma in Screen Media at NAFA — one of which was a documentary that was produced in collaboration with NParks. She also loves traveling, meeting new people, and learning about different cultures, which she hopes to document with her passion for film. Hazirah seeks to create a platform through documentary filmmaking by pushing the boundaries of storytelling and filmmaking with new and unfiltered perspectives, to be the alternative voice that the regional landscape needs, and a platform that drives culture and change.
