Biography
Kenenza's art practice revolves around the theme of sociopolitical background around Southeast Asia mainly in Indonesia. Kenenza's artworks are chaotic, using organic materials such as turmeric to convey her message. She is very interested in how to push the 2 Dimensional mediums and because of that she subsequently, branch out her artwork into installation and mixed media. Through her works, she hopes to bring in a visceral sensation and evoke critical thoughts in the audience's mind when experiencing the piece.
She has exhibited her works in several group shows across Singapore. She curated a student-led project for an online exhibition “Laskar Pelangi: Senandika 2021” and finished her Curatorial & Research internship with National Gallery Singapore in 2022. She has also participated in Share The Moments Project for Marina Bay Sands Countdown 2021 at The Fullerton Hotel, Singapore and is the recipient of NAFA Scholarships and Tan Ean Kiam Arts Scholarships (Diploma).
