(Artist Statement)

Grace’s current work seeks to educate people on the significance of histories and historical events that should not be buried or forgotten. Driven by her family’s stories, her work transcends personal experiences and incorporates series of drawings depicting the silent witnesses – to trace the historical events’ sites that have been demolished and rebuilt by the government as an act of eliminating truths and evidence. In her graduating work, Grace presents a mixed media installation as a proxy to invite viewers to experience the sheer horror of these historical events.
