Introduction

Learners will learn to produce visual presentations that are clear, informative and easy to understand. Learners will understand the science behind good visual communication and learn about various types of infographics and their production processes. They will learn design principles and techniques that will allow them to create engaging and effective infographics, both in static and animated formats. They will be taught to transform a complicated subject into information and data which is appealing to their target audience. This course demonstrates how infographics can be an effective digital marketing tool in today’s competitive business environment.

Learners will be presented a Certificate upon successful completion of the course.

Module 1 – Infographics (Print) (8 sessions x 3 hrs)

Learners will be introduced to the fundamentals of creating infographics as an effective communication tool. Through a series of demonstrations and hands-on exercises, learners will be able to apply the tools and techniques of using vector graphics to create content that is engaging and aesthetically pleasing.

Software: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator

Module 2 – Infographics (Animated) (8 sessions x 3 hrs)

Learners will understand the concept of creating animated infographics to enhance data and information presentation. Through a series of demonstrations and hands-on exercises, learners will create and apply animated infographics to attract the attention of their target audience as well as communicate the desired data and information effectively.

Software: Adobe Animate

Applicants must be 17 years old and above.

Course Prerequisite

  • Applicants are required to have basic IT knowledge on digital imaging software
  • Applicants are required to have access to Adobe Creative Cloud to complete assignments

Subsidies

SkillsFuture Credit
All Singaporeans aged 25 and above can use their $500 SkillsFuture Credit from the government to pay for a wide range of approved skills-related courses. Visit the SkillsFuture Credit website (www.skillsfuture.sg/credit) to choose from the courses available on the Training Exchange course directory.

National Silver Academy
Applicable to Singaporean seniors aged 50 and above who will receive a subsidy of 50% off the course fee (capped at $500 per course). Please note that the subsidy will only apply to the course fee and will not cover GST.

Union Training Assistance Programme
NTUC members enjoy 50% unfunded course fee support for up to $250 each year when you sign up for courses supported under UTAP (Union Training Assistance Programme). Terms and conditions apply.

80 Bencoolen Street (S) 189655. The student's name, NRIC/Passport number and contact number must be written on the reverse side of the cheque.

Refund of Fees

Withdrawal within 14 days before the course commencement date Course fee^ will be refunded after deduction of S$107.00 as administrative charges.
Withdrawal on or after course commencement date
No refund will be given.
^Registration fees and miscellaneous fees are non-refundable.

Cancellation/ Postponement

  • NAFA reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course without prior notice.
    In the event that the class is unable to proceed due to unforeseen circumstances, NAFA will process a full refund of the course fees.

Withdrawal/ Deferment/ Transfer

  • Withdrawal or deferment requests should be made in writing with supporting relevant documents (if any) to Centre for Lifelong Education. Request for deferment is subject to approval.
  • No deferment is allowed once the course has commenced.
  • No transfer of course upon registration.

Replacement of Classes

  • There is strictly no replacement lesson should the participant absent himself/herself from the course.
