A lecturer once told me that talent is a seed which will only yield fruitful results with hard work.
Henry believes that art is a universal communicator and he participates in a variety of group exhibitions which address different audiences. His works has been displayed in commercial, gallery and educational spaces such as Goodman Arts Centre, Gillman Barracks, ION Orchard, Marina Bay Link Mall, Sentosa and the National University of Singapore. He also helped coordinate a pilot project organised by NAFA and the Children’s Cancer Foundation to offer children’s art lessons at the Foundation’s Place for Academic Learning and Support (PALS).
Henry received the NAFA Best Graduate (Fine Art) Award and the prestigious NAFA President Award upon completing his Diploma in Fine Art in 2013. He was also valedictorian of the class of 2013. He was awarded the NAFA Degree Scholarship and he went on to complete his Bachelors of Arts (Honours) Fine Art offered by NAFA and Loughborough University in 2014. He was a nominee of the Prudential Young Artist Award 2014 and was also part of the pioneer batch of artists selected to kickstart an art heritage project organised by the National University of Singapore Society to commemorate the achievements of their past presidents.
