University of the Arts London, UK

Raised in Singapore and educated at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, Yuki Mitsuyasu owns and runs an independent jewellery label, YUKI MITSUYASU.

Mitsuyasu designs and constructs pieces intended to tell a story. Carefully crafted into each piece is a narrative, waiting to be recounted, explored and shared.  Her choice of materials, the manner by which they are shaped, and the functions they perform all work collectively to weave the intended narrative.

And just as there is more than one side to a story, Mitsuyasu also stresses the importance of having jewellery look beautiful from every angle. Yet, every point of view does not distract from the narrative. The themes, often universal and timeless, lend the pieces immediate iconic status.

Mitsuyasu has earned critical recognition from her peers and industry insiders. For her design excellence, Mitsuyasu has garnered awards including the prestigious Goldsmiths’ Craftsmanship and Design Award (UK), International Jewellery London Best New Product Award (UK), IJL Editor’s Choice Awards (UK), Cool Diamonds (UK), and grand prize from the Takahashi Pearl Design competition (Japan).

Mitsuyasu exhibits twice a year in Paris during Paris Fashion Week. Besides doing bespoke orders, wholesale and consignment sales, Mitsuyasu also runs a concession counter at Takashimaya Department Store.
