Cylinder trees hand-painted by NAFA’s Design & Media students
Christmas is just a month away and the festive mood is thick in the air. In addition to shopping promotions, unique decorations can be spotted within the Muji store at Plaza Singapura mall. Within the store, shoppers will be able to spot a Hexen House Town which is decorated using a spread of MUJI biscuits and candies. There is also a wall mural themed “Christmas in the woods”, done by local artist duo Ripple Root and children from Children’s Cancer Foundation.
Inside MUJI’s flagship store, there are three very special Christmas ‘trees’. These cylinder trees are designed and hand-painted by 3 groups of students from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. There is a write-up next to each tree, where visitors can read about their inspirations and stories.
