The Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts launched the NAFA Foundation Programme last year to support N-Level students who are interested in art. This programme assists to prepare them to enrol into diploma courses. The number of applications for this year’s NFP is almost double of that of the previous year.
Koh Sher Ling, who has always been interested in the fashion industry, decided not to go to Secondary Five after finishing her N Levels the year before. Instead, she applied to the NFP. In the past year, she has received extensive art education in her foundation classes. After she completes the NFP in March successfully this year, she will be enrolled into the Diploma in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing programme.
Her fellow coursemate, Anoushka Rachel Sam, who studied in the same secondary school as her, will be enrolled in the Diploma in Theatre (English Drama) once she successfully completes the NFP.
