Making leather crafts, creating live art, watching a film, learning dance techniques and being awed by music performances - these are some of the activities prospective students and their families may experience and enjoy when they attend the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) Open House from 18 to 20 January 2018. During the three-day event, NAFA’s campuses will be abuzz with showcases, performances, talks, art demonstrations, career consultations and more.
In addition to the plethora of activities which are specially curated to give visitors a glimpse into the life of a student at NAFA, lecturers from the various programmes will be present to advise on course details. Current students from the different programmes will share their on-campus experience and the development process of their artistic creations. The event also allows aspiring artists, dancers, musicians, designers and arts administrators an excellent opportunity to explore their academic interests in the arts and career choices.
NAFA offers full-time diploma and degree programmes across three schools: the School of Art and Design (Fine Art, Design & Media, Fashion Studies and 3D Design), the School of Music and the School of Arts Management, Dance and Theatre. Diploma courses are aligned with the degree courses offered in partnership with reputable universities in the United Kingdom.
Visitors will receive Open House goodie bags on registration and a personal campus tour led by student ambassadors will be available during this weekend.
Activities will be held across all three campuses, located at the following addresses:
Campus 1 - 3D Design, Fine Art, Design and Media | 80 Bencoolen Street
Tower Block - 3D Design, Fine Art, Dance | 80 Bencoolen Street
Campus 2 - Fashion Studies | 38 Bencoolen Street
