A special curated showcase from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts’ (NAFA) permanent collection, Exploring Southeast Asia, exhibits works spanning 70 years from 1949 to 2019. From the perspectives of the artists, viewers can witness and better understand the art practices and cultural hallmarks of the region. Works on display include NAFA’s Founding Principal Lim Hak Tai’s Oil on Canvas piece “NAFA at St. Thomas Walk”, Lee Man Fong’s “2 Women Combing Hair”, Siew Hock Meng’s “My Pregnant Wife”, Lee Hock Moh's Chinese ink and colour on paper work of “Fort Canning”, etc. The exhibition will be held from now till 25 Oct, 11am to 7pm, at The Ngee Ann Kongsi Galleries 1 & 2 (Free admission, closed on Mondays).
