Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts

NAFA Fine Art students Kishore Divya and Nur Syazwani Syairah's light installation, 'Dried Rice' is a homage piece to the history of Bras Basah – a district where our Singapore’s art, culture and heritage lies. Deriving its name from the Malay term 'wet rice' (beras basah), the banks of Bras Basah River (now Stamford Canal) used to see wet rice being laid out to dry.
