NAFA alumnus Ho Kah Leong
Local artist Ho Kah Leong, who turns 80 this year, will be holding “Making Art Life: Ho Kah Leong 60 years and beyond”, a retrospective exhibition featuring 61 of his works including woodcuts, paintings, calligraphy and sketches. Holding the exhibition at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts holds great significance for Ho, who had studied at the Academy for a year and a half before leaving due to financial difficulties. Throughout his career, no matter how busy he was, he still found time to continue his pursuit of art. Over the years, he has created artworks of different forms – such as woodcuts in the 1950s-1960s, and his oil paintings in the 1980s featuring various landscapes.
The exhibition will take place from 22 June to 9 July, at The Ngee Ann Kongsi Galleries 1 & 2, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, 11am to 7pm daily (closed on Mondays and public holidays).
