66 youths from 7 to 17 years old participated in a seven-hour music marathon at Plaza Singapura last Thursday. These young musicians from NAFA’s School of Young Talents presented performances on the piano, violin, flute and Chinese instruments at the atrium of Plaza Singapura.
14 year old Tang Zhi Feng is one of the musicians who had been practicing the piano for ten years; recently, he was awarded the winning prize in the Senior category and became the overall Grand Winner of the Symphony 92.4 Young Talents Project 2019.
Mdm Fang Yuan, principal of SYT, shared that this marathon is part of SYT’s 20th Anniversary celebrations. She believes that bringing art performances to such events will allow more people to enjoy the beauty of music, as well as enable visitors to experience the local arts scene.
