Verona Bronze Foundry Trip

17 June - 5 July 2013
Verona, Italy

A 2-week educational trip was organised and attended by 4 selected students, Syamil Dasuki and Liu Yao Dong from the Department of Fine Art and Belinda Mulyani Soetantio and Wong Qing Xian from the Department of 3D Design. Following the sculpture conceptual workshop held a year back in September, this trip is the second and final part of a sculpture workshop conducted with Italian sculptor, Anna Chiara Spellini. During their time there, the students realised their clay sculptures created in the conceptual workshop through their learning of the traditional bronze casting process and working with the experienced artisans in a foundry in Italy.
